Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area is located in the Zhenning Buyi Miao Autonomous County of Anshun, 45 kilometers from Anshun town, and 128 kilometers from Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. The area is Guizhou's number one tourist attraction.

The Largest Waterfall in Asia

Huangguoshu is the largest waterfall in Asia: 101 meters wide, plunging 78 meters down into Xiniu Pool (Rhinoceros Pool), an 11-meter (36-feet) deep rhinoceros-shaped pool, and sending foam up to a height of 100 meters.

The roar of the water can be heard some kilometers away. Rainbows appear on sunny days, adding a touch of extra beauty to the majesty of the cascade.

How to Visit Huangguoshu Waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfalls is located about 160 km to the southwest of Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province. There are several daily buses heading for Huangguoshu Waterfall from Guiyang Jinyang Passenger Bus Station (金阳客车站) with bus fare 55 yuan, 2 and half hours. Jinyang Passenger Bus Station is about 22km to the northwest of Guiyang city center. You may take the bus No.219 starting from Guiyang Railway Station to Jinyang Jinyang Bus Ssation.

The Huangguoshu Falls bound bus stops at the parking lot in front of Huangguoshu Falls’ ticketing office. You need to buy the entrance ticket at 180 yuan and sightseeing shuttle bus fare at 50 yuan.

Now Huangguoshu Falls Scenic Area includes three natural spots – Huangguoshu Waterfall itself, Doupotang Waterfall and Tianxing Qiao Scenic Zone (天星桥景区). A shuttle will first stop at Doupotang Waterfall (陡坡塘瀑布); after visiting Doupotang, you need to get on a shuttle bus going to Tianxing Qiao Scenic Zone; after Tianxing Qiao, you again need to get on the shuttle bus for Huangguoshu Waterfall.

Guiyang is situated in the center of Guizhou Province while Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in Anshun city, the southwest of Guizhou Province. That means Huangguoshu Waterfall is in the southwest of Guiyang, about 118 km away. The driving distance between Guiyang and Huangguoshu Waterfall is about 128 km by car (About 1 hrs 40 mins). Generally, travellers have 3 ways to get from Guiyang to Huangguoshu Waterfall - by high speed train, direct bus or our private car transfer service.

By High Speed Train - Most Popular & Needs Transfer

From - to: Guiyang North Railway Station (贵阳北站) - Anshun West Railway Station (安顺西站) / Guanling Railway Station (关岭站)

Duration: About 30~40 mins (To Anshun West Railway Station), About 1 hr (To Guanling Railway Station)

There are high speed trains from Guiyang North Railway Station to Anshun West Railway Station (About 37 daily trains) and Guanling Railway Station (About 4 daily trains). You will take about 30~40 mins to Anshun West Railway Station, and about 1 hr to Guanling Railway Station. You could take the high speed trains to anyone railway station of them. It is more recommended to choose Anshun West Railway Station.
